Madeline Leibin

Madeline (she/ella) is Newman | McNulty’s first associate. Madeline clerked at the Colorado Court of Appeals before joining the firm. A graduate of NYU Law, Madeline also spent a year interning at the Southern District of New York before her clerkship in Colorado.

While in law school, Madeline contributed to a broad range of civil rights efforts. A selection of her contributions includes: fighting for accommodations for D/deaf prisoners and neurodiverse protesters while at Disability Law United (formerly the Civil Rights Education & Enforcement Center); seeking relief for students marginalized by bans on critical race theory in Texas while at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund; and challenging the criminalization of protest while at the ACLU of Florida. 

Prior to law school, Madeline worked at an impact litigation organization addressing multinational corporate pillage in Palestine. She earned a MA degree in Conflict Resolution & Mediation in Israel and Palestine and graduated summa cum laude from the College of Charleston. While in college, she worked as an intercongregational community organizer.
